Rosemary Isabel Brown (27 July 1916 – 16 November 2001) was an English composer, pianist and spirit medium who claimed that dead composers dictated new musical works to her. She created a small media sensation in the 1970s by presenting works purportedly dictated to her by Claude Debussy, Edvard Grieg, Franz Liszt, Franz Schubert, Frédéric Chopin, Igor Stravinsky, Johann Sebastian Bach, Johannes Brahms, Ludwig van Beethoven, Robert Schumann and Sergei Rachmaninoff.

Howard Gordon Shelley OBE (born 9 March 1950) is a British pianist and conductor. He was educated at Highgate School and the Royal College of Music. He is married to fellow pianist Hilary Macnamara, with whom he has performed and recorded in a two-piano partnership, and they have two sons. To mark the fiftieth anniversary of Rachmaninoff's death Howard Shelley gave many concerts including a recital in the Leipzig Gewandhaus on the day itself (28 March 1993) and a recital at Rachmaninoff's villa in Lucerne at the invitation of the composer's grandson. He has given complete cycles of Rachmaninoff concertos with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Beethoven concertos with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra and Mozart concerto series with the London Mozart Players, Camerata Salzburg and the Munich Symphony Orchestra.

Rosemary Brown was born on July 27, 1916 in Stockwell (South West London). As a child she received no special musical training, only piano lessons. Rosemary Brown was never crowding into the light of public to gain fame, but saw its psychic gifts as an obligation towards the mankind. The last 25 years of her life she suffered from heart problems and arthritis, so she had to stop her musical work in her last years and eventually died in London on 16 November 2001. She bequeathed us several hundred beautiful compositions, which are fascinating many people worldwide. Audio clips: Le Paon inspired by Claude Debussy Howard Shelley (Piano). Scherzo in F-sharp minor inspired by Frédéric Chopin Howard Shelley (Piano). Sonata in G flat major (1st Movement) inspired by Franz Liszt Howard Shelley (Piano).
