Jack Goldstein (September 27, 1945 – March 14, 2003) was a Canadian born, California-based performance and conceptual artist turned painter in the 1980s art boom. Goldstein was born to a Jewish family in Montreal, Quebec, and moved as a boy to Los Angeles, California, where he attended high school in the 1960s.

Jack Goldstein was a multimedia artist best known for his involvement with the Pictures Generation, and is considered a pioneer of sound art. Jack Goldstein was one of the most important artists of the 80's in New York. He returned to California in the 90's and slowly disappeared from the art world until renewed interest in his work began to happen in 2000. He was in the first graduating class from CalArts and went on to experiment with performance, film, recording, sculpture and painting. His art of the late seventies, eighties and early nineties influenced many artists who came after him. He died on March 14, 2003.
