Werner Franz (born 8 March 1972) is a former Austrian alpine skier. Franz was born in Weissbriach and he could already be found in the mountains at the age of 2, learning his first skiing techniques. He was coached by his father who was determined to make a professional skier out of his son. When Werner won an amateur race against young skiers of his own age he was complimented by his father who gave him newer and better skiing equipment as a present.
Werner Ehrhardt leads l‘arte del mondo in a spirited reading of these under heard symphonic works. In letter to his publisher on 10 April 1809, Beethoven referred to Sterkel as the Ariosto of music. Being compared to a famous Italian poet by the master from Bonn is no small compliment. I don't think anything on this album is as good as any of Haydn's 104 symphonies. The music is performed well but to my ears Sterkel is a second rate composer and I would rather listen to Haydn or Mozart. Mozart's child prodigy music is better than this collection of Sterkel.
