While Bud Johnson's parents encouraged them to be singers, the relative obscurity of the Chanters is due to the fact that their parents felt they were too young to be performers. They appeared only in the New York area and even then, not at any theaters or clubs. There was supposed to be a tour, but their well-meaning parents killed that too. While they were recording as the Chanters, they did background vocals for a progressive jazz album

Over the Rainbow is the debut album of the child singer Connie Talbot, and was released 26 November 2007 by Rainbow Recording Company

BUDD JOHNSON is a jazz related rnb hard bop music artist. Albert J. Johnson(born December 14, 1910 in Dallas, Texas; died October 20, 1984 in Kansas City, Missouri) was a jazz saxophonist and clarinetist best known as a "behind-the-scenes player" and writer. He is generally known as "Budd Johnson. He initially played drums and piano before switching to tenor saxophone.

Over the Rainbow (オーバー ザ レインボー) is the debut Japanese album of South Korean girl group Rainbow, and their first full album overall. It was released on March 28, 2012 in Japan under Universal Sigma. It was preceded by the singles "A", "Mach" and first original Japanese single "Gonna Gonna Go!".

Over the Rainbow" is a ballad composed by Harold Arlen with lyrics by Yip Harburg. It was written for the movie The Wizard of Oz and was sung by actress Judy Garland in her starring role as Dorothy Gale. It won the Academy Award for Best Original Song and became Garland's signature song.

The Chanters had an advantage: Bud's dad was well-known tenor saxman Budd Johnson. When the group was ready, the senior Johnson brought them to DeLuxe Records A&R man Andy Gibson, who supervised James Brown & The Famous Flames' Try Me (I Need You) (see Track 19). Gibson would be their producer at DeLuxe; Budd would lead the band. It didn't do much business, and The Chanters were dropped by DeLuxe (being too young to tour didn't help their cause). They masqueraded as The Voices Five on Morty Craft's self-named Craft logo in 1959 without Paige, who'd entered military service and was replaced by Bud, J. s cousin, Freddy Johnson. He led their interpretation of For Sentimental Reasons on Craft (Budd S. s instrumental All Alone sat on the flip). What resuscitated The Chanters' fortunes in 1961?
