But when Percy Faith went into the recording studio in February 1967, the nominees had been announced, and since he recorded all five of them, he could be assured that the eventual victor ("Born Free," as it turned out) would be included. Faith had a special reason for doing an album of movie themes, since, in 1966, he had one himself, "Song from 'The Oscar,'" his fifth, and, as it turned out, final film score.
