I reached Jay Khan (Shylow) years ago on Facebook and he said this:As far as The Rebirth goes, the only CD's we ever pressed up we're one we sold hand to hand locally. We literally just burned CD-Rs at the crib, printed the liner notes at a print shop and boom. At some point i want to remaster the album and make it available on Bandcamp or something but honestly the MP3 copy you have is probably as best as its gonna get for a while. If anything changes i'll be sure to give you a shout.Shylow where you at brother ?

Peace bro, apologies for the delayed response. Need to make a correction to that statement, my memory didn't serve me right when we talked back then, after trying to track down a CD copy of the album I remembered that we actually never sold any CD copies, the only CDs we ever made were for the members of the crew, everyone else got cassette copies. As far as a vinyl release goes, i'm all for it if someone wants to invest the time and the money. I have the master DAT tapes, all it'll take is a label to holler with the right offer. Time will tell.

This album right there deserves a proper vinyl release. Please someone make it happen!

Soon or later it will, pretty sure about it. On Dust & Dope records why not. Chris, make it happen!

This is my favourite album ever!dope beats, rhymes & scratches.BSA should`ve released this material on wax.I hope one day they will do. here you can find some facts from their myspace: "Formed in 1995 by Shylow, Fear and former member DJ Sinn, the BSA stood as a collective of MC's, DJ's and producers from across Ontario who's associations with one another were used to assist and better serve their common artistic goals as well as their individual endevours. - Recorded "The Rebirth" album in 97/98. The album was never released commercially but garnered critical praise and gained worldwide recognition through word of mouth, hand to hand sales, and the internet. One of the standout songs on the Rebirth entitled "S.T.O.M.P" caught the ear of hip-hop legend Chuck D of Public Enemy, who in an issue of Elemental magazine, as well as on his website www.rapstation.com rated the song the number one mp3 download of the year 2000. - Though the BSA has both lost and gained members througout the last 10 years, and no follow-up project has since been released, most of the remaining members are still active in hip-hop today, with solo projects from MC's Shylow and 9thUno on the horizon."
