Only in America" is a song recorded by American country music duo Brooks & Dunn. It was released in June 2001 as the second single from the album Steers & Stripes. Kix Brooks, one-half of the duo, co-wrote the song with Don Cook and Ronnie Rogers, although it features Ronnie Dunn on lead vocals

Young America Saturday Night. Kim Fowley "Young America Saturday Night" - taken from a rare Fowley 45 on Original Sound; recorded for an album that was never released (and the album is listed on the single!). B-Side; A-Side was "Fluffy Turkeys". Stu Mitchell "Acid" - mind-warping single, released by a middle-of-the-road C&W artist. What made him release this is beyond me. this comp is highly entertaining , every track is just about a keeper

Excellent comp of "out-there" sounds; the dozen+ styles listed fail to begin to do this CD justice. A quick run-down of some tracks:Jon Appleton "Chef D'Oeuvre" - great electronic experiment from a pioneer. Strangely, Flying Dutchman released this as a single(!).Tony Burrello "There's A New Sound" - obscure 78 (the flip side was another twisted gem, Leona Anderson's "Fish") that is incredibly HTF.Kim Fowley "Young America Saturday Night" - taken from a rare Fowley 45 on Original Sound; recorded for an album that was never released (and the album is listed on the single!). B-Side; A-Side was "Fluffy Turkeys".Stu Mitchell "Acid" - mind-warping single, released by a middle-of-the-road C&W artist. What made him release this is beyond me. The Inmates "I've Got A Tiger In My Tank" - early Lou Reed-penned tune, back when he was working for Pickwick. The Individuals "Jungle Superman" - doo-wop/R&B tune, recorded live in a zoo (w/animals on backing vocals!)Randy And The Rest "The Vacuum" - really cool psych/freak out tune, w/a vacuum solo! Must be heard to be believed.Cosmic Rock Show "Rising Sun" - starts off kinda normal, but goes off the deep end halfway through. Psych-ish.Shaggs "My Pal Foot Foot (live) - worth tracking down for this alone, a previously unreleased (and to my knowledge, only live recording existing) of the Shaggs. Not available anywhere else, as far as I know.Mysterious Clown "Mysterious Clown" - a favorite of mine. Off-track vocals by an "mysterious" (no pun intended) group....Harry Zonk "For What It's Worth" - Mr. Zonk tap dances to the Buffalo Springfield tune. David Arvedon "Buckets Of Water" - Arvedon pressed an album, which is extremely hard to find, as well as his self-released 8-track. Strange mix of Marc Bolan-esque vocals and interesting lyrics.
