In the Pocket is the ninth studio album by the Commodores, released by Motown Records in 1981. It is the last Commodores album to feature Lionel Richie, as he left the band to start a solo career the following year. The bulk of the album was recorded at Web IV Recording Studio in Atlanta, Georgia. This album contained two hit singles, "Oh No" (. and "Lady (You Bring Me Up)" (. Lionel Richie - vocals, piano, keyboards, saxophone. Thomas McClary - vocals, guitar. Milan Williams - keyboards.

IN THE POCKET was Lionel Richie's last album with the Commodores. By the time he exited the band in late 1982, they had gone from being hard-core R&B funksters to masters of the pop power ballad, due to the overwhelming influence of Richie. This album is miles away from previous offerings like CAUGHT IN THE ACT, MOVIN' ON, HOT ON THE TRACKS and the group's self-titled LP that contained smoldering funk and deep, infectious grooves, so don't expect to find much of that here. However, this album does has some highlights worth hearing. Overall, IN THE POCKET has more strengths than weaknesses. If you're comparing it to any Commodores LP recorded before 1978, well, of course it will come up short. But if you really enjoy this band's music, then it's a sure bet that you'll want to jump on this.

However, In The Pocket would become Sedaka's best-known Elektra album because of its second single, the duet he performed with his daughter Dara, "Should've Never Let You Go" which charted at on the Billboard Hot 100 and at on the Adult Contemporary charts in 1980. It was a remake of a 1978 song, "Should've Never Let Her Go" from the album All You Need Is the Music, which Sedaka had sung solo. The Top 20 duet would become Sedaka's final appearance on the Hot 100. Track listing. The Commodores originally came together from two former groups, the Mystics and the Jays. There was even a Jazz aspect to one of the groups. They wanted to change the name.

Chaplins plans for six English-style buildings, arranged as to give the effect of a picturesque English village street, were published in the Los Angeles Times in October 1917. The layout of the buildings was described by the Los Angeles Times in 2002 as a cottage complex.

In the Pocket, released in 1981, turned out to be his final album with the group. But while In the Pocket isn't among the Commodores' essential releases, it was still a pleasant way for Richie to end his association with the Southern band. Track List 1. Lady (You Bring Me up) 2.
