Darina Márquez Uribe (born 28 July 1980), known as Darina, is a Mexican pop/rock singer-songwriter. Winner of the first place in Mexican version of Operación Triunfo (similar to Star Academy). Then, she released her first CD in July 2003; with the first single "De corazón a corazón" as the principal theme of the soap opera Velo de Novia. Darina was born in Hidalgo, Pachuca, Mexico. She has an older brother, Jorge; they were raised by their mother. Darina began working in a bar-restaurant.
