Easy To Be Hard is originally from the rock musical Hair. Three Dog Night version is from their album Suitable for Framing and reached number four on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1969. The two other vocalists are Danny Hutton and Cory Wells (died 2015). The original lineup was Jimmy Greenspoon (keyboards), Joe Schermie (bass), Michael Allsup (guitar), and Floyd Sneed (drums). The band had 21 Billboard Top 40 hits (with three hitting number one) between 1969 and 1975, the most of any group during that time period.
