Jarreau is the sixth studio album by Al Jarreau, released in 1983. It was his third consecutive album on the Billboard Jazz charts, while also placing at on the R&B album charts and on the Billboard 200. In 1984 the album received four Grammy Award nominations, including for Jay Graydon as Producer of the Year (Non-Classical). The album contained three hit singles: "Mornin'" (. Pop AC for three weeks), "Boogie Down" (. Pop and "Trouble in Paradise" (.

It marked a breakthrough for his career in Europe and later also in the US. In 1978 it won the Grammy Award for Best Jazz Vocal Performance. In 1976 Jarreau made his first live appearances in Europe, starting with concerts at the jazz festivals in Montreux and Berlin.
