Dave Hamilton is, without doubt, one of those 'unsung heroes' and this compilation, the first in a series dedicated to producers, arrangers, writers and musicians who have moulded the shape of soul music, is the first opportunity many of us have been given to fully appreciate the depth of Hamilton's talent. Hamilton entered the music business at a very tender age. As an 18 year old he was touring with the Helen Pennilton Quartet and at 23 had his own band, the Noc-Tunes, who cut sides for Sensation  . They thought the mystery singer was Orthea Barnes. When I finally tracked down Orthea she told me, almost apologetically, that it wasn't her. Another dead end.

Dave Barnes (David Mckee Barnes) Letra de Good: As the sun slowly rises above the river, I look out over all that God. I can finally see how all the wrong turns and the heartaches. The lessons in the mistakes. Help me count these blessings like I should. And it's good to know that I have been forgiven. Good to have her laying by my side. I've been given more than I deserve. For a past so full of bridges burned. I couldn't make this better if I tried. I got more than I ever thought I would.

If I can prove that I never broke the law Do you promise not to tell another soul what you saw? No one else was in the room where it happened. and see consistency I never spent a cent that wasn’t mine You sent the dogs after my scent, that’s fine Yes, I have reasons for shame But I have not committed treason and sullied my good name As you can see I have done nothing to provoke legal action Are my answers to your satisfaction? My God. Gentlemen, let’s go. So? The people won't know what we know.
