Guy Lombardo and His Royal Canadians. The legendary Louis Armstrong once said that Guy's band was his all-time favourite. Some of the tunes in this album were among those hits, but not the actual renditions heard here, as indicated in the 3 pages of liner notes written by Brad McCuen "The orchestra presented in this album dates from 1950 and were originally radio recordings. The program is made up of standard tunes which Guy didn't record in their full arrangements and thus are most welcome additions. The vocals are particularly outstanding and feature the trio, Kenny Gardner, Cliff Grass and Don Rodney.
