X is the third and final studio album to be released by British-Irish pop group Liberty X, released on 10 October 2005. The album was the band's first release on the Virgin Records label, after being dropped from V2 Records in 2004. The album was released two years after their previous album, Being Somebody. The album was the least successful of their three studio albums, only peaking at on the UK Albums Chart and selling less than 50,000 copies.
A studio album was issued a year earlier, and versions of this outfit had played in Florida, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. Pastorius assembled a who's who for this date. Sure, Truth, Liberty & Soul is for the Pastorius fanatics, but it's much more: this fantastically recorded document is a treasure trove of modern progressive jazz. The brilliant music found on it serves to underscore that Jaco was more than a brilliant, singular bassist (though that would have been enough); he was a great composer, arranger, and charismatic bandleader - a true jazz renaissance man.

Truth, Liberty & Soul (2017). Brown, Pastorius, Erskine, Mintzer, Ellington, Parker, Kaper. A first-time release comprising more than 130 minutes of extraordinary high-fidelity ground-breaking music, this previously unreleased live album features electric bass genius Jaco Pastorius and the Word of Mouth Big Band
The breadth of the program is, in fact, greater than on any previous live album from Pastorius' Word of Mouth Big Band. A Latin-ized, slightly reggae-infused version of Bob Marley's "I Shot the Sheriff" is another quintet piece for Pastorius, Thielemans, Molineaux, Erskine and Alias, closing a mid-concert break for the rest of the group with a combination of groove and improvisational élan.
