Jaime Royal "Robbie" Robertson, OC (born July 5, 1943), is a Canadian musician, songwriter, film composer, producer, actor, and author. While on the summer tour, member Richard Manuel was involved in a boating accident that severely injured his neck, and ten dates of the 25-date tour to cancel. Once again, Robertson brought in Band alumni Garth Hudson and Rick Danko as contributors. The album reached on the Billboard 200 chart.
The Weight, by the Band’s Robbie Robertson, appears on their album Music from Big Pink (1968). Robertson tells a story about a traveler’s visit to a small town, but mixes biblical references into the story to create a modern parable. This song rose to album climbed to Robertson told Rock Cellar Magazine that this song was inspired by a surrealist filmmaker.
