Cosmic Gate is a German DJ duo consisting of trance music producers Claus Terhoeven (born 1972) and Stefan Bossems (born 1967). Both hail from Krefeld, Germany. On October 28, 2009, DJ Magazine announced the results of their annual Top 100 DJ Poll, with Ultra Records artist Cosmic Gate placed 43 spots above the group's ranking the year before. For the 2010 DJ Magazine Top 100 DJ Poll, Cosmic Gate moved to #24.

Tiff Lacey - Should've Known. Album: A State of Trance Classics, Vol. 9 (The Full Unmixed Versions), 2014.

The first release, Cosmic Gate's 'So Get Up', calls in a new era for the masterminds. Working together since 1998, Cosmic Gate have been involved with EDM for more than a decade. Not only did their DJ sets stand out, so did their productions. They toured the globe, playing over 140 shows as part of the album tour, including their very special Wake Your Mind In Concert events. This year, they've got other plans with the 'Wake Your Mind' title. Cosmic Gate: "We are super excited to start our own label. We've known Armin and the Armada crew for many years already, and now it's time for our first big collaboration.

Gold as Heart
The Dub Mix on the B-side of this record is one of the best productions of the guys from Cosmic Gate, I think. The track has a beautiful eerie atmosphere which reminds me greatly of Motorcycle's hit As The Rush Comes, which is a very big compliment in itself of course. The track even sounds better pitched at -3% or so, because deep progressive trance needs to be a bit slower to convey its feeling and message.
