Album Name Quintessence. Data de aparición 1970. Labels Island Records. Estilo MusicalPsychedelic Rock. Miembros poseen este álbum0. 1. Jesus, Buddha, Moses, Guaranga. Data de aparición 17 Abril 2000. Labels Century Media. Quintessence is much different than its predecessor, The Archaic Course, for the major reason that it's goal is to reconnect the band with his premiere-album sound: regular black metal. However, as much of a leap that is, we can still find Oystein Brun playing actual guitar solos in addition to the tremolo-picked riffs. Keyboards, however, are at a minimum in exchange for wall-to-wall, buzz-saw black metal at surprisingly clear quality.
While Quintessence's second album had a guileless sincerity to its spiritual striving that was uncommon in pop music, it's very much a relic of its hippie age. The good points?
