Album · 2013 · 17 Songs. Brad Paisley courts controversy with "Accidental Racist," a track that pulls in LL Cool J to messily discuss the meaning of the rebel flag on a Lynyrd Skynyrd T-shirt, black men with their pants hung low, LL's doo-rag, Robert E. Lee, and Abraham Lincoln. Paisley's a complicated country singer. He's a member of the Grand Ole Opry who here works with artists as non-country as LL Cool J, Mat Kearney, and Monty Python's Eric Idle
Brad Paisley Title: "Wheelhouse" Release Date: April 9, 2013 Just as the album’s first single Southern Comfort Zone demonstrates, Paisley took a step aside from his usual formula for his tenth Arista Nashville studio release. Simultaneously scrutinizing and pandering to his fan base, setting obligatory Nashville themes (summer, weddings, trains) to studio pomp, he walks a tightrope and sometimes stays on – see the domestic-abuse revenge shout-along Karate.
Brad Paisley's 'Wheelhouse' delivers a familiar mix of humor, life lessons and scorching guitar solos, but it does it in a way different from any of the other eight albums the 'Beat This Summer' singer has released. He took his old formula, balled it up, lit it on fire and tossed the ashes in the garbage. When you swing from the seats every time, you're bound to whiff once or twice - and Paisley does
Sound - 9 Brad Paisley is a very successful Southern Country musician. He has had ten consecutive singles go to on the country charts and his single from this album, " Southern Comfort Zone ", reached All seven of his previous albums have gone gold. He was named " Entertainer of the Year " at the Country Music Awards in 2010. With this fair amount of success, it leaves Paisley room to experiment, which he apparently did a lot of on " Wheelhouse ". Admittedly, I'm not that familiar with Paisley, but I just like to call this good music.
