Jesus knew full well that God was going to orchestrate that His Word and testimony would all be put into this one Holy Book. He knew this Holy Book would eventually be read by millions of people in the future, with everyone looking for spiritual guidance on how to live their lives in Him and His Father. As such, I believe that Jesus has laid out for us exactly who we are to pray to and exactly how we are to pray to Him. I believe we can commune with, fellowship with, talk to, and worship and praise both Jesus and the Holy Spirit. I wrote to a few fellow believers; but now I’ll write to all of you at the same time
Hi everybody! I'm Looking for a song. I think it's a new song. Not sure if the lyrics is exactly as the song I remembered but it went or had the same meaning as this: Its kind of like a love song type ""You always think that you're lucky to have me, but I am the one who is lucky to have you"". Lee Asbury 30 June 2019 Reply. We just wanna make it last but we're not ready for each other" as part of the lyrics. If this helps, it is a song Asia Monet Ray dances to in Season 1, Episode 10 of Raising Asia. Please reply if you know! Thank you! anon 02 July 2019 Reply. does anyone remember a hip-hop song from the early 2000's (or late 90's) a woman sings the chorus and finishes it with "just go on" and the man sings the back vocals? (he was rapping too, I guess). Queralt 02 July 2019 Reply.
For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
When you pray, don't be like the hypocrites who love to pray publicly on street corners and in the synagogues where everyone can see them. I assure you, that is all the reward they will ever get. But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father secretly. Then your Father, who knows all secrets, will reward you. When you pray, don't babble on and on as people of other religions do. They think prayers are answered only by repeating words over and over again
God must have the same reaction when we reach out to him in prayer. The authors of the Psalms knew how to pray. They communicated with God on every occasion – when they were thankful, happy, angry, sad or hurting. Jesus also knew about prayer. Like Paul advises in 1 Thessalonians, Jesus was in constant prayer with the Father. It was the center of his life. When he chose to leave the heavenly realms of glory to walk among us, his lifeline to God was through prayer. It was so important that he taught his disciples how and when to pray. Jesus may have felt this way. He was in constant demand to heal the sick and debate political issues with the Pharisees. But throughout scripture, we often see him taking a break from these disturbances. But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed. He did not wait until the crowds were gone and no one was left to debate with him.
How exactly are you supposed to pray? And why should you do it? Here are some guidelines from Billy Graham. Prayer is possible because Jesus Christ has removed the barrier between us and God-a barrier caused by our sins. You see, sin separates us from God, and because of that we have no right to come before Him. But by His death on the cross, Christ paid the penalty for our sins and removed the barrier. The Bible also says, The Lord detests the thoughts of the wicked, but those of the pure are pleasing to him (Proverbs 15:26).
