Stepping kicks and sharp snares propel this elasticated beast along at an urgent pace without sacrificing any breathing space. Part 2 is double hard, classic 90s referencing UK techno with obvious nods to his collaborative work with Regis as BMB. The DisinVectant dislocated fingers remix adds his/hers/their trademark dystopian spoken word and almost Vex’d esque bass to the equation creating something that could only have come from the grey skies of Britain.

Surgeon presents the second and final part of his 'Whose Bad Hands Are These?' project with two new versions from himself alongside remixes from Vex'd and Monolake. Stylistically speaking the two Surgeon tracks feature less of the nail-biting techno and more of the splintered electro (compared to part one) but the atmosphere is just as claustrophobic and dark. First up on remix duty is Robert Henke aka Monolake. Here he really gets into the spirit of things and has produced one of his most pumped, up-for-it releases to date.

Yo !!! Congratulation. At a moment on the Auterche'remix (B2) I thought my vinyl was broken because it seemed turning indefinitely and didn't want to continue. I was cleaning when I realised... Excellent.Christopher Wool's work on first video.

Stormtrooper techno. Listen to this while you enslave Wookies and search for droids. The two original cuts by Surgeon are drenched in industrial dread. Bad Hands (Part II) has got a little bit of an acid vibe to it as well. Autechre's remix starts of as a relatively straight-forward techno piece, but then implodes towards the end. Excellent release.
