Redirected from In The Nightside Eclipse). In the Nightside Eclipse is the first studio album and fourth official release by Norwegian black metal band Emperor, released in 1994 through Candlelight Records. It was the last album to feature drummer Faust and the only one to feature one-time bassist Tchort. Considered a landmark in the black metal scene, the album has been ranked by critics as one of the most influential albums of the genre

In the Nightside Eclipse (1994) by Emperor. Labels: Candlelight Records. Genres: Symphonic Black Metal Members: Ihsahn, Samoth, Tchort, Faust. The first disc features the original tracks together with As the Shadows Rise EP. Both remastered. Second disc is the 1993 alternative album mix taken from never before release The Akkerhaugen Tapes 1993 featuring pre-production, rehearsal materials. Inno a Satana" is Italian for "Hymn to Satan". Both "Cosmic Keys to My Creations & Times" and "I Am the Black Wizards" are re-recorded versions of songs that originally appeared on the "Emperor" EP.

Emperor's "In the Nightside Eclipse" is one of their best albums they had released bac in the mid 90's. It still keeps that raw feel that Black Metal should have, but also maintains a complexity within each of their songs to keep the listener engaged within, not only the music, but the dark atmosphere it presents. Well, i had been told, and it seems to be a commonly held truth, that Emperor's 2nd album, 1997's To The Welkin At Dusk, was and is the be all, end all of epic Black Metal. So that's the album i bought, and i stayed away from Emperor for quite a few years after, as it was ok, but not quite up my alley. Now i finally decided to give their debut a shot, and i gotta say, In The Nightside Eclipse from 1994 is pretty awesome, and, for me, quite superior to it's much hailed successor.

Emperor 2 CD Lot In the Nightside Eclipse and Battles in the North ORIGINAL. CDs and artwork in excellent condition. Emperor - In the Nightside Eclipse - Emperor CD 12VG The Fast Free Shipping. Two decades later, it is still the album seen by many as the pinnacle of its kind, and has influenced an uncounted number of bands.

It might have been easy for outside observers to dismiss the music itself as inconsequential noise; that is, if Emperor's debut album In the Nightside Eclipse hadn't arrived at exactly the right moment. But for anyone drawn in by the surrounding sensationalism, In the Nightside Eclipse resoundingly demonstrated that there was real musical substance and ambition in the world of black metal.

In 1994 Black Metal fame is due to many crimes involving musicians of that scene. Music is not so important. In the Nightside Eclipse risks to be simply a shocking album played by criminals. Indeed It is a great masterpiece of dark symphonic metal, with a new way to play epic music. A tribute to nature forces, with a deep charm for the dark side, as in an obscure fantasy story. Violence and grandeur, aggression and atmosphere, frost and emotion coexist naturally in this album. Visceral and primitive music with incredible melodic research, in a sea of keyboards. Emperor’s members are young and crazy like Mayhem’s ones, but the approach to heavy music is completely different. No perversion or sickness in Emperor’s album, but a religious tribute to the darkness.
